It is fragrance-free, so I appreciate it for this use. After that, I added items I could safely soak in (all plastic; no batteries or other materials). I put them in and allowed them to sit for around 5 to 10 minutes. You can swish them around with your fingers, giving them a thorough wash.

Pet Stains & Odors (Concentrate)
